Band of Brothers Tour

For the one who have been so impressed by the Band of brothers series and book, we will follow the footsteps of Major Winters and its “E Company”. From their landing site near Sainte Mère Eglise to the first attack of Brecourt Manor, followed by the liberation of Carentan crossing the purple heart lane. A visit to the Airborne Museum is included, and different amazing stops during the trip.
From Omaha to Saint Lô, in the footsteps of General Norman Cota

From the landing on Omaha Beach on Dday to the liberation of Saint Lô 40 miles away, it took 44 days to the 29th Infantry Division. You will discover how geography has been used by the Germans to resist (cliffs, rivers, swamps and most of all the hedgerows), and what made the US army successfull. We will visit the US memorial of Saint Lô, city called the capital of the ruins.

Bayeux, a preserved jewel of architecture
2 hours walking tour
Bayeux is one of the few city that remained intact after the 1944 bombings. You will first visit the extraordinary tapestry of William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy who became king of England after the Hastings battle in 1066. Tapestry is on the United Nation list of protection.
Then you will visit the gorgeous gothic style Cathedral. You will walk through the charming narrow streets of the old town, noticing the different activity centers, from the bishop palace to the merchant shops and admire the lovely private buildings from the 16 th to the 18 th century. François will open the door for you of one of them
Mont-Saint-Michel
Full day (9.00 am – 5.00 pm) :
Mont Saint Michel’s reputation is well deserved and it would be a shame not to the opportunity of visiting this “Wonder of the Western World”. Just a 1h30 drive from Bayeux, the site is exceptional and architecture will transport you back into the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. 60 inhabitants live there all year round, and there is also religious community living on site. The Tour price includes a visit to the abbey.
